I like having a clean living environment. Or at least one that’s fucking hygienic.

I moved in a few months ago with my partner and his 2 friends and I went from living on my own where nothing was out of place, to living with them where most places in the home is covered in mould, rotting food, etc.

I knew what I was moving into, they also knew how much I like to clean. They were actually excited their house is becoming cleaner. But the 2 housemates are WORSE than children to clean up after. And one of them just had the audacity to be angry at me because my partner’s sister yelled at them all last night for leaving so much mess and them slacking with leaving me to clean up after them. She specifically said “What’s all of your excuses for not cleaning up after yourselves? Just because you have a female move in, doesn’t mean she should be doing all your cleaning!”

He made some really shitty passive aggressive sarcastic comments “you must just be every real estate agent’s dream tenant, aren’t you? You leave their houses 50% cleaner than it started as.”

Like dude, I just cleaned their bathroom and this is the before and after:

He really turned around and said “how much longer are you actually going to take in there?”, I responded “till it’s clean” (the roof is still COVERED in black mould), he got shitty so I packed up my cleaning stuff and left it as is.

I always make sure I’m cleaning out of their way in a room that won’t be in use, I never vacuum or do loud cleaning while anyone is home so I won’t bother anyone. I make sure I pack up all my cleaning stuff, I never wanted to be a burden when moving in.
