Will pumping before baby come help with milk production ? I’m 25 weeks

Had a hard time breast feeding my first baby -that was over 5 years ago . I’m 25 weeks today , curious if I start pumping now will my milk production increase so I can feed my baby ? I got this pump

It’s not safe to pump this early. It can put you into pre mature labor. And it won’t help your milk production anyway. Hormones released when the placenta detaches is was triggers your milk production.

Not safe to do this early. It won’t help milk production as milk doesn’t come in until 3-7 days after the placenta detaches.
I highly recommend taking a breastfeeding course. They are offered online. La leche league is a wonderful online breastfeeding resource.

yea what the first comment said. please do not pump right now. milk supply is all about supply and demand. to keep up you have to feed your baby on demand latch them as much as possible and if your away from baby pump like clockwork after your milk regulates. latch latch latch is the key to keeping up your supply. there’s plenty of resources to use before your LO gets here to help on what to do!
