How long did it take?

My husband is so moody i think because i havent given him some since the baby. I had a tear which was a long recovery. I feel better now but i have no sexual desires what so ever. He tries to help with the baby but i do the bulk of the work. I feel bad that i am not turned on 😭

It took me 8 months after the birth of my son. Childbirth and having a newborn/baby is such a big thing, don’t put too much pressure on yourself

I had a c-section and did begin having sex again until 9 weeks later, however it took me about 18 months to come close to getting a libido back. Pre-baby we had sex at least every other day, sometimes multiple times a day, now we’re very lucky to find time for once a week.

Mine has never come back either and I know it’s hard on him so just make an effort to find the mood. If it’s a night I know I have more energy, I’ll initiate it and with some extra foreplay, I enjoy myself and it makes him feel good. He never pressured me because he knows it’s been hard on me after having kids. Our last just turned 1 so I’m hoping with the return of my cycle, I’ll have more of a drive again.

Don't feel bad. Sex drive dips due to hormones and exhaustion from tsking care of baby. For me, it has been 3 months and I have only wanted to be intimate once for a fleeting moment. It is totally natural (and very common) to have a big dip in sex drive after having a baby.

For me it never came back but I make myself get in the mood just spend more time kissing and foreplay. You have sex when you feel ready.
