I have been ttc for 11 months. I just saw my doctor last week and she believes I have PCOS and am not ovulating. She gave me the option of getting an ultrasound and then starting on clomid or letrozole, but she said it can be a bit aggressive and increases risk of certain cancers and multiples so we opted for me to try and lose a little weight first (about 15lbs) to see if that will "wake up" my ovaries and have any effect on my ovulation. I use opks and have never gotten a positive test and bbt has only confirmed ovulation once over 11 months. I have regular cycles, but she said they are likely anovulatory cycles. She prescribed me Metformin to help. Has anyone had a similar experience and was able to get pregnant after taking Metformin? Any tips on how to lose the weight? I'm pretty active at my job and walk a good bit and also try to eat healthier choices, but I give into my cravings alot. I crave chips and sweets throughout the day. I drink mostly water or sprite zero. No caffeine or chocolate cause I have fibrocystic breasts and it causes pain for me. Any advice or shared stories appreciated 🥰 TIA 🤍
