How accurate is the NIPT?

In terms of identifying genetic abnormalities, as well as gender? Have any of you had a false positive/negative?

Gender is 99.6-99.8% accurate. Risk factors for abnormalities i find to be less accurate. I had 2 done. The genders were right both times but the genetic stuff was wrong

I had mine done and being sent for NT scan tmrw because one of the chromosomes and the gender came back no result. I’m praying soooooo hard it’s a mess up with the blood work. Which they said is possible but still getting a scan to see for sure….
