What a wild day today has been. First, I’m told my induction date is in 11 days. I will be 37w2d. This is because I have GDM and my fasting numbers are higher than they should be even with a steady increase of insulin. My eating numbers are perfect.

Then I went off to my third NST which is standard here if you’re on insulin. It didn’t go well. Baby’s heart rate was all over the place and she wouldn’t settled down at all. She was chaotic in there. So they put me on IV (after three failed attempts, they got a vein on the 4th) and gave me an ultrasound. The ultrasound took an hour and I wasn’t allowed to see the screen and she was silent the entire time. My nerves were not okay. They then put me back on the monitors for NST. Baby’s heart rate was less chaotic but she was still active.

Finally the on call doctor came by and said the ultrasound looked beautiful. Baby is BIG BIG. Baby is also laying transverse and not head down and the doc suspects that’s why the NST reads funny.

I asked what happens in 11 days if the baby is still transverse but she basically said that’s a problem for then. Might mean c section but depends on what baby does.

My due date is December 7th. Lol. This is such a wild ride.
