Is it ok to get pregnant before you're ready because fertility declines with age?

Question

Fertility declines by the age of 40 so is it ok to want to get pregnant before it's too late if you aren't financially ready because if I wait it might be too late. What are your thoughts?

As long as the babies needs is met and you put your all into having a baby I see no problem. Think about what type of relationships with family you want them to have . What type of upbringing you want them to have. What kind of resources you can provide. In what way will your stress impact their lives .

As long as your in a stable place (physically and mentally) and can provide for the child in a safe and loving environment, it’s fine. No one is ever really “ready”. But it’s irresponsible to have a child you can’t care for or knowingly bring a child into an unsafe/unstable situation.

No I don't think you should purposely get pregnant if you aren't ready. It's not the best situation for you or the baby

I waited till I was ‘financially ready’ and the ivf costs have been around $35k so far….so yeah do it sooner rather than later is my advice 😂

Depends on what you mean by financially ready. Are you able to provide for yourself? Could you afford to house, feed, and cloth a child in a safe environment without government assistance? If the answer is yes, then go for it. Otherwise I’d wait.

You’re never gonna be 100% ready. Sometimes even if you think you are you aren’t 😞 we lost our home when our son was four months old and have yet to recover from it. We’ve all been staying in the same tiny room together for the past year. We’re finally able to start looking for a house. As long as your child will be cared for and not go without id say you’re ready

You’ll never be fully ready, as long as your not super poor I’d go for it . It breaks my heart seeing so many women wait so long to be prepared and then they can’t get pregnant.

No one. And I mean absolutely NO ONE. Is ever truly Ready for it. There is so much unknown when having a baby. And even researching/ reading things. Never truly prepared you for it.
It’s one of those, learn and adjust and prepare as you go. Type of things.
So if you want a child. And you’re stable within yourself first, and your life. 
Then I say go for it.

So I had 2 miscarriages 10 years ago with my abusive ex partner. Now I’m 30 and married and I’m trying now because what if there’s problems? I mean I do have baby fever to the extreme and so does my husband but I’d be lying if I said part of it wasn’t bc I’m scared to wait!
