Can someone tell me what the difference is between peak and positive? I thought they meant the same thing

Answer

An OPK is positive when both lines are equally dark or test darker than control. You can ovulate 12-48 hours after your first positive, regardless of if you ever have a test that is darker than control. Some of the apps that “read” OPKs call it “peak” when the test line is darker than control, which is very confusing for people, but in reality has zero significance unless the test also happened to be that first positive.
