High risk pregnancy burn out ðŸ˜
I had a fairly normal pregnancy up until 25 weeks. I started getting fluctuating high blood pressure, dizzy spells, heart palpitations, unable to tolerate any activity, and just feeling very unwell. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with preeclampsia due to symptoms and protein in my urine. I was admitted for a few days then sent home. A week later I was back due to my blood pressure temporarily spiking to 147/105. This time they did a 24 hour urine which came as inconclusive for preeclampsia and they were on the fence about this diagnosis. They sent me home and things still haven’t improved.
Now I am 31 weeks and see my OB weekly, get labs weekly, and see a cardiologist bi-weekly. Due to my labs he thinks it’s just gestational hypertension rather than preeclampsia (but still on the fence). He ordered a growth scan and I found out my baby, who was always right on track for growth, dropped down to the 7th percentile. She was diagnosed with FGR (fetal growth restriction) and now I also have to get weekly ultrasounds to make sure she is okay. I am still so unclear if I have hypertension or preeclampsia. Whatever it is, it’s affecting my daughter now and my daily life.
I will do whatever I have to to make sure me and my baby are safe, but I am so burnt out from all these health issues and being at the doctor’s office constantly. Idk if I will make it to full term or not, but I feel like I still have a LONG way to go.
Any other high risk moms feel burnt out??
