I am 7 weeks pregnant and I went to the hospital yesterday with pain in my abdomen which radiated into my chest and shoulder. Looking back now, I think it may have been severe gas pain as no other reason was identified, and the ultrasound tech kept commenting on movement in my bowels blocking him from seeing what he needed to see.

Anyway - the baby is where it’s supposed to be with a heart beat of 125! I was relieved to hear this until the doctor alerted me that my HCG read at 1,000,000. I’m thinking… are you sure the results were not misread? 1 million? Both of us were confused. The hospital OB didn’t seem alarmed but wanted me to call my OB. My OB doesn’t seem alarmed either, as everything else looked great.

I am sad and terrified of what this could mean. Has anyone had a false lab report but turned out ok? Also, I would think that if my HCG was truly that high I would be sick as a dog, no? Ive had the usual pregnancy symptoms - waves of nausea, no appetite, fatigue, sore boobs - but nothing crazy. I know I need to be realistic but I’m holding on to some hope until my appointment this week. 😔
