How long were you in the hospital for your 2nd delivery ?

I was in the hospital 6 days before I ended up having a C-section because my son's heart rate kept dropping with every contraction I was having and they wanted to monitor him. Then after my c-section I stayed for 3 more days so in total it was 9 days

She was born at 11:35pm, discharge time at the hospital I delivered at was 11am but they wanted baby there for 24 hours so we stayed a full day after she was born. She was born Friday night, we left late Sunday morning. I couldn’t wait to get out of there😂

I’m worried about this too. I’ve never been away from my 2 year old. I asked my dr how long they make you stay and she said if I feel good after a day I can ask to leave.  They like to keep the baby 24 hours to make sure everything is good.

36 hours; would have been only 24 but the hospital required another 12 hours of monitoring since I delivered baby too fast for antibiotics and I was GBS positive

I was only in hospital about 6 hours after birth with both of mine. They were vaginal deliveries with no complications though.

24 hours. I would have preferred to leave earlier but they make you stay 24 hours minimum at my hospital. They did that with my second and my third. My first and my second were both 21 months when they became a big sibling. 
With my third, they tried to convince me to stay longer. He was born in the evening (5:24) and they tried to convince me to stay until the next morning. But I told them I had a 3 y/o son and an autistic 21 m/o at home and I wasn't staying any longer than absolutely required. My youngest was born during Covid (June 2020) so I was hoping they'd actually let us leave earlier but no. 
I'm due in January with my fourth, this one a surprise. I'm super worried about being away from my other kids that long. If she's born during the day, my husband will be home by night so my boys can be at home.  My 6 y/o son will be fine no matter what. I worry about my 4 y/o son when I'm in labor and he's at my parents. He doesn't like being away from home and he's nonverbal. Super worried about my youngest even when he's home with my husband. He's soooo clingy to me. He's my shadow. When I go to doctors appointments and he stays home with my husband, my husband says my 2 y/o sits in the front window the whole time waiting for me to come back, even when I'm gone over 4 hours 😭. I'm so worried about leaving him. My daughter was not planned at all so I'm still feeling unprepared, especially about the labor situation, even though I'm 33 weeks and I should be feeling ready/prepared. I wasn't worried the previous two times, just missed them.

My second I was in hospital for 9 hours. 
Then there is a 8 year age gap between my middle and my third. 
This time round my third will be around 24 months old when new baby is born so I’m hoping it’s quick enough because he won’t do well with my mother inlaw on his own

Just over 24 hours. I could've stayed longer, but wanted to get home sooner because my daughter wasn't allowed to come to the hospital.

I requested an early discharge all of my births (next day). By law, they cannot suggest it to you.  You have to request it the night before you want to leave so they can have discharge paperwork prepared for early morning rounds for the ob and pedi to sign.
