Long story but I really don’t like my husbands cousin. I try but we are just different people with different personalities. She started sending my son gifts for birthdays and Christmas 4 years ago and I felt obligated to send her kids gifts for the same things. We haven’t seen each other in over 2 years and we don’t talk on the phone. We text occasionally. My son doesn’t know her or her kids if he sees them in a picture. My husband has never been close to her either. I want to put an end to the gift exchanging but I don’t know how to go about it without causing a big problem because his family loves drama.
