i wish i could be 3 people at once ugh

Jullz ☀️

we have been warned about how being outnumbered could pose issues with young kids but uuuuugh i’m so exhausted. here’s a recap of our wednesday just as an example for something that happens almost DAILY…

my husband has to leave for work at 8:10

bus for the two older kids is at 8:15

i leave for work around 9, drop the 3 yo at daycare around 8:30

he works until 5/5:30 and get the kids from daycare.

I come home around 5:15 but tonight is my oldest’s dance class at 6:15 and we leave around 5:50

that leaves us a very short amount of time to eat.

i get home around 5:15 like usual and my husband is already there and the kids are going nuts. youngest runs to me as soon as she sees me and wants to be held (she’s 3)

middle kid (5) is begging his dad to play video games and 7 yo is in her room crying.

he orders pizza because we’re both exhausted and have no energy to cook dinner but while we wait for that…

i’m trying to see why oldest is crying (school and daycare didnt say anything) while the younger two are also whining (and 3 yo is attached to me like velcro)

7 yo wont talk to me because her sister is there

3 year old wont leave me alone

5 year old wants dad but he’s trying to get 3 yo off of me

3 and 5 yo then get into a fight because my husband has to take 3 yo from me and 5 yo is upset at younger sister

5 yo then hits 3 yo

7 yo then hits 5 yo for hitting 3 yo

All three are now crying

I want to cry too

We place 7 yo and 5 yo in timeout

Pizza gets here

7 yo doesnt want to eat

3 yo wants to eat sitting on me

5 yo still complaining about playing video games

I’m about to have a mental breakdown

Husband tells 5 yo he will play with him for a bit after 3 yo goes to bed so he’s happy and eats

3 yo calms down but eats sitting on me which is very uncomfortable lmao

7 yo eats because i told her no dance class if she doesnt eat

All this and it’s only been 30 mins since I got home.

We finish eating and 7 yo and I leave for dance class while my husband takes 3 yo (forcefully lol) away from me.

Dance class goes great and we get home at 7:30

3 yo’s bedtime is 7/7:15 but of course she wants to wait until I get home, so I get her ready for bed while 5 yo and dad are playing video games together and 7 yo is starting homework at the kitchen table.

7:50 3 yo is finally asleep but now the other two’s bedtime is pushed back because of that. I help 7 yo with homework quickly and get her ready for bed while my husband does the same with 5 yo.

8:30 all three kids are asleep and I want to die.

The end.
