Me and my best friend of 10+ years went to a jump place to take the kids and to catch up on life. Everything was fine but then she asked me a weird question. She asked do you and your husband hit each other when angry, my response was no why? She then said don’t lie couples sometimes fight and I said yea we have arguments but never get physical that’s not ok to hit each other. So she quickly brushed it off but I found it weird she made it seem like a it’s normal kinda concerned me. The day goes on jump time was up and we took them to get some McDonald’s and she dropped her wallet when paying. She was in front of me and when she bent down I saw a bruise on her lower back, so later on privately I asked her is that why you asked me that question because he hits you? She jumped no how dare you say a thing why would you ask that. I completely backed off and just said bye text me when your home. I didn’t wanna push but she was off the entire day then the question and the bruise was off to me. She later texted me saying don’t ask her that again that what happens in her marriage is not my business. I wasn’t trying to be nosy but it just felt off and now I’m here like was I wrong to ask. I feel I wasn’t because once she asked me, to me it opens the door for me to ask her.
