Gender disappointment?

Has anyone genuinely been disappointed about there child’s gender in the beginning?

I’m on boy #3, so yes. I cried when I found out I was having another boy, but I think I was crying more because it’s my last child & I’ll never have a girl. It definitely faded very fast. It was just the initial finding out. It’s normal to feel what you need to feel. I wasn’t sad I’m having a boy, I was sad I’ll never have that daughter-mother bond. I love my boys & at the end of the day, a healthy baby is all that matters. Don’t feel guilty for feeling disappointed.. the feeling isn’t going to last forever, trust me.

Why do you think we have it? I mean, there is no real reason that daughters have better relationships with their mums, and it isn't always the case?
