Do people still play games at baby showers?

I personally loved the trivia I did at a recent one. Questions like “how many bones are babies born with”, “at what age do babies get their permanent eye color?”, or “on average how many diaper does a baby go through in a year”. It was a lot of fun!

We put burp cloths and wood blocks on the tables with fabric markers and people decorated them. We did a basket raffle with three baskets for people who brought diapers. We had a guess the safety pins in the jar on the table by book we had everyone sign. That was the only game we did.

I had a  virtual shower because of COVID, so we just did predictions (guess baby’s weight, birth day, sex, etc) and then after baby was born the person who got the most right got a prize.
I’ve been to showers before with a craft and I really liked that. I have a friend who is an artist, she drew a picture book and everyone was asked to write a page to go along with the pictures and it made a beautiful storybook for baby. I’ve also done painted onesies and bibs.

For me, no. I hate baby shower games especially when they do the “guess how big mom is” with the toilet paper, it’s a no for me lol. I just want to spend time with people, eat food, and just talk. For my first I did crafts instead which people seriously loved, they got to tie dye either a onesie, socks, or burp rag.
