What can i take for a cold

Question

What are your go tos for a common cold while pregnant? I’m 22 weeks and I’m nervous to take anything so I prefer natural stuff over the other options first. My husband was born with a cleft palate due to his mom taking Sudafed and Zofran when she was pregnant with him… I know my baby doesn’t have a cleft from the anatomy scan but I’m nervous for anything else to occur. I also have gestational diabetes if that makes a difference

My doctor said Sudafed or Mucinex DM. I had a bad cold last week and I don’t think either did much (I tried Sudafed the first couple days then Mucinex the next few) but I think Sudafed was slightly better because it has Tylenol in it. Although the Mucinex was nice because it lasts 12 hours instead of 4.

Hot water with fresh lemon, grated ginger and natural honey. 
Lots of water and rest, humidifier and if it's cold where you are breathing in cold air helps.

I wouldn’t take anything. Lots of liquids. Orange juice is good
