I became pregnant before I was able to receive the flu vaccine. Here I am 9 weeks today with the flu. Saw my doctor today and he recommended ‘old school treatment’ in his words, bed rest, fluids, chicken soup. I don’t currently have a fever over 99.9. I am fearful of lack of treatment, and my body producing an increased immune response due to being pregnant and causing a worsening of symptoms. Has anyone experienced wary pregnancy with the flu? I’m fearful of what can happen to the baby! He did say Tylenol cold + flu medication is Okay to take if I must take anything at all. O seeking comfort and reassurance from others stories and experiences with this.
