How much does your significant other help with the baby?

It’s not “helping”, it’s parenting. We both work full time and the amount of time we each have my daughter varies by day and depending on what’s going on. We each try our best

I can’t vote any of these because my husband does help, but it’s not a lot and it’s not equal. I mean if I ask him to do something he will, but I’m such an “I got it” type person that I don’t ask much. Before we got married I already had 4 small kids so I was kind of used to doing everything and I’m still that way. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Equal parts. During nighttime I feed and he changes the diapers, during the day when he is at work I obviously do the housework, feedings, changes, etc..  but when he gets home he has no problem with taking care of our son or making dinner. Sometimes if I have had a rough night trying to get my son to go to sleep my husband will take him in the early morning so I can sleep in. Everything is pretty equal and works the best way for us!

None of those categories really fit. I'm at home with baby all day doing general house stuff and then log on for work while my toddler runs around. Hubby comes home late morning from work. Sometimes he will take a nap since he starts super early, and we'll pretend he's working later. Usually he watches our son as I continue with work, but it's really a shared watching the entire day. He won't do diapers or chores but will sit and play with our son so I can get things cleaned to my standards. He helps with other things if I ask. It works for us pretty well.

Once he gets home, he’s gone for work 12 hours a day, he helps as much as he can with either the kids or with stuff around the house like cooking dinner and doing the dishes. He also does bathtime for both kids and puts our daughter to bed while I get to shower, then I will nurse our son and he will put him down in our room for me after he falls asleep. On the weekends we split most stuff 50/50, if he has stuff to do outside he will usually take our daughter as much as he can to ‘help him’ she’s 3 so she can’t always go but he takes her as much as possible.

I mean, it’s not most of the time because he’s at work for 10-12 hours a day. It’s definitely not equal parts, since I’m home all the time with them. He absolutely helps whenever he can though. Usually when he gets home he takes over with the kids. Last night he had a movie night with our daughter and after she went to bed he did tummy time with our son. He definitely helps way more then some of these posts I’ve seen here.

He tries to but our daughter is going through separation anxiety so she's not letting him do much other than changing her nappy, she will sit with him for about 10 minutes until she completely loses her mind. But he does alot around the house as I struggle to some days
