Has anyone visited parents and held off telling them you were pregnant as you felt it was too early to tell anyone?

I’m in early pregnancy, not even 5 weeks yet and worried about telling our parents in case something goes wrong. Has anyone else hidden pregnancy from parents/parent in laws as you felt it was too early to say anything?

I guess it depends what support you want. I always told my family when I found out because if something did happen I’d want and need there support to help me through it x

My mum and I are really close so I always told her right away (and she would tell my dad lol). All other family we waited until at least 8 weeks.

I saw my mom every week during both of my pregnancies. I didn’t tell my parents until around 16 weeks with my first. We did announce at 10 weeks with my second just because it was Easter and we were all together.

Yes. I waited til after my viability scan around 7.5 weeks to tell parents and siblings. They knew I had previous losses so they were respectful of not sharing it with others. Around 15 weeks is when I started telling everyone else friends/fam wise and just now at 20 weeks I’ve been telling strangers because it’s obvious. I told my employer at 10 weeks as I was having to go to the doctors often and then my coworkers at 20 (I work from home or they would have known sooner due to my bump)

I didn't announce to anyone until 12weeks. Parents included. Only hubby knew.

We just told my husbands parents yesterday and I’m almost 14 weeks. I got the genetic testing results back so we felt ready to tell them. I also had two previous miscarriages so we wanted to wait a while before announcing.
