Husband detained with ICE and babies hand not growing
My husband got detained with ICE the day after we found out I was pregnant. It has been such a depressing journey knowing that he most likely won’t be home when it’s time to deliver or at all. I also learned that my baby boy’s arm did not fully develop. The doctors did many tests on me and at least the good news is that it is an isolated situation and the baby is completely healthy and will just be born with no left hand. When they first checked his arm was grown barely past his elbow then the next week after all the testings it was just his wrist and hand missing. Either way I will love him with all my heart. I keep telling my 5 year old daughter that the baby will need extra attention because he might not have his Daddy home and he won’t have his hand. I’m trying so hard to be strong for her but I feel so overwhelmed. Does anyone else have a child with this disability or a spouse locked up in general (doesn’t have to be ICE)?
