Can antibiotics and steroids (prednisolone) cause a late period?

Personally, every time I had to take amoxicillian for dental work my period was a week late. I thought it was a coincidence at first but I was on them several times over a period of 6 months and every time I would have to take them my period would be a week off. It was strange.

Antibiotics, no. Prednisolone can affect your cycle but that’s really only likely if it’s a high dose &/or a long treatment.
