Ectopic pregnancy
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked at the pregnancy test and it was positive. It was my 4th natural pregnancy. Previous 3 pregnancies were early miscarriages so I didn’t think this one would work out, until I found out that I was 7 weeks which I have never been pregnant this long. I started to have bad cramps on right side mainly and that was when I knew something is wrong again. Spoke to EPAU and they said wait a day, take pain killers, if the pain doesn’t stop contact us. I did like they said but the pain got worse. Went to hospital the next day, had hcg blood test and transvaginal scan done where they said there is no pregnancy in my uterus but on my right ovary. I had high hcg levels of 3500. I was given injection to prevent the growth of the ectopic pregnancy. I was so heartbroken as including IVF this was my 5th failed pregnancy.
