Micronutrients - Omega-6, Choline, Magnesium
Hi friends!
First pregnancy and trying to navigate nutrition. Do any of you track micronutrients? Any pro tips?
Started logging my foods and prenatal vitamins on the Cronometer app this past weekend.
Omega-6:
I’ve read that too much omega-6 isn’t ideal but I’m not finding recommended daily limits online. I’m tracking my micronutrients and I’ve been consuming about 5g/day. My tracker has a “goal” of 13 which might need correction. Has anyone else found the daily limit or have more insight on the omega3/6 daily ratio?
Choline:
My prenatal vitamin provides 30 mg of Choline which is 5% of the recommended daily value of 450 mg. I keep falling a couple hundred mg short of the recommended DV and decided to get a Choline supplement. Did anyone else do the same?
Magnesium:
Shared concern with Choline. I’m also falling short on recommended daily value. Considering supplements. Same for you?
I’d love to hear that I’m overthinking things but I just wanna make sure I’m doing all I can for my little babe.
