Need Advice

Question. Had a miscarriage on Dec 15 at 6 weeks. Ovulated January 2 per strips. BFP on January 11. Faint line. Blood work on January 12. HCG is 42. Is this low or normal for this stage. Haven’t missed period yet. Hoping for a successful baby! Can’t help feeling discouraged already.
