For the ladies that have already had their anatomy scan, was it abdominal, vaginal or both? I'll be 20 weeks at mine next week.

They say they do both but I refused the cervical check. Honestly I don’t want anything shoved up there irritating my cervix and looking at my ovaries. They can see A LOT through the abdominal scan

The scan itself is abdominal only- but they do ask if you’d like to have your cervix length checked-
Which is vaginally. It was optional for me.

My first son was premature so they did do vaginal to check my cervix length this time but the actual anatomy scan was abdominal

It’s my third baby and have done them at multiple places and they’ve always been abdominal! But they did have me pull pants off or far down to be able to go low enough to get cervix!

My last 2 babies was done abdominal for scanning baby and then a quick vaginal scan to check my cervix, I have another scan coming up for my 3rd pregnancy which I was told will be done the exact same way both abdominal and vaginal.
