Feeling awkward while having sex

My boyfriend and I have only been dating for a short while but have known each other for years.

Anyways everytime we go to have sec I get all awkward and freeze not knowing what to do which leads to him always being on top which bugs me cause I know he wants me to get on top and so do I but once I’m there I’m nervous and get shy cause I don’t think I can do it right to satisfy him I don’t know why I’ve never had this problem until I’ve had my child which is now 8 months old. And suggestions of why im like it with him ??? also is it normal the man not making and noise during sex??
