Baby Monitors- usage?

How long did you use a monitor-like Nanit?

Be right there and it scared me.” Ok, valid. Didn’t think of it that way. I would start with “Ben, it’s mommy. I’ll be right there” but okay. We practiced him saying “mommy/daddy, I need you” but he’s never said it or anything when he wakes up. But will cry if he thinks I’m not coming if it’s been longer than 5-10 min.

This week he says he doesn’t want it on. I read somewhere that the Nanit turns red on but I guess I haven’t seen that.

We are moving to a house that his room is not next to mine so even if he does yell for me, I might not hear him.

How long did you use a monitor for? Suggestions how to compromise with him?
