Do parents hold some responsibility to pay for college? Since FAFSA states parents do what is your opinion

Especially if they have the funds to do so

Is there some responsibility there for parents to pay Atleast a portion of a child’s college?

In my opinion I think there is when the parent can afford it. It’s Like giving your kid their last step up before they won’t need you anymore and I think it’s an important one as well.

Often times kids drop out because they can’t afford it because there parents either can’t or refuse to help. Which in my opinion is heartbreaking when they want to go but can’t due to financial worries
