Elementary schools

My daughter is in kindergarten right now. I am thinking of moving to another state. My daughter’s current school is a small charter school and we love it. I am scared to take her out of it and putting her into a big public school. Thoughts? We will be moving to Illinois and I know nothing about the school districts there or what schools are good.
