Did your membrane sweep work?

When did you have a membrane sweep? did you have more than one? did it/they work? how long after did labor start? did you do more natural inductions after it? share your results!! hoping to have one tomorrow at 39w2d!

Had 1 with 1st baby at 40 wks (was 1cm) and went into labour 3 days later. Had 1 with 2nd baby at 41 wks (was 2 cm) and went into labour 2 days later. Will definitely have one again this pregnancy if I haven't had the baby by 40/41 wks. Anything to avoid an induction which is relatively low risk I think is worth it.

With my first my water broke 2 days after, not sure if it actually worked. With my 2nd I was holding my baby in less then 4 hrs after 🙈

It did for me! Had it done at 38w 6d and my first was born at 39 weeks exactly

I had one at 38+ 3 or 4 I was already 3cm and had some preterm labor. My sweep was on a Saturday night, Monday morning I lost my plug/bloody show, Wednesday night 8ish my water broke and baby was born at 12am.

I did 2 with my second baby at 39 weeks and 40 weeks. Already 3 cm at both appointments. They didn't work. I was told labor should be within 48 hours if it works. Had baby girl at 40+3 but contractions didn't start until day 3 after membrane sweep so I think it was unrelated. But I know other women who went into labor within 24 hours. Yes with my first but my water had already broken... 38+5. He was born 8 or so hours after it.

I did at 37 and 38w, totally lost mucus plug so I thought, lots of gunk even pink tinge. Nothing happened more than that.
