Am I wrong for being upset?

Me and my bf were supposed to go on a date. We got a baby sitter and everything. It’s been a while since we had time to ourselves. We’ve also been trying to go eat at this place for the past month, they are always closed when we try to go. Now today, we waited until they opened and while we wait my bf has the best idea to invite his family without letting me know (I over heard) knowing it was supposed to just be us two… he said “ no they won’t come, I know them” mind I’ve been around his family for 4 years now and I know them very well too, I knew they would show up and.. they did. So my question is am I being rude or over dramatic or un fair for wanting it to have been just us.
