Can’t find babies heartbeat on home Doppler?

Question

I’m 16.4 wks took me seconds to pull up her heartbeat , I wanted to listen today and can’t pick anything up I’m very stressed! Is my Doppler going bad ? I checked my heart beat and it picked it up! 😭
I bought it in 2018 year it’s about 5 years old!

16 weeks is still early and it takes effort to find it sometimes. This is why Dopplers get a bad name, they cause stress. Take a break and try later maybe watch some videos on how to find it at 16 weeks, you may be in the wrong place or baby may be hiding. Worst comes to worst go and get checked if you can’t relax

So my doctor told me that some babies are good at hiding especially since at 16 weeks they are not very big yet. This is why at appointments they have to use the ultrasound machine instead of their own Doppler
