Water break without you knowing?

Beth

Hi, I had my baby in October but I have this doubt that won’t go away. The day I gave birth I had an appointment so that morning I had been having a few contractions that weren’t too strong but I thought they were Braxton Hicks so I didn’t think much of it. When I got up to get ready for my appointment I went to the restroom as usual and when I wiped I noticed a light pink color so I realized that I was spotting (and I was told by my doctor that spotting was normal but that if I was spotting I should still inform them because I had previously had a csection in my past pregnancy) I was going to call them but I decided not to since I was already headed to my appointment. When I arrived to my appointment they checked me and they said that my water had broken. I just feel so unsure about that being true since I never felt my water break or noticed any leaking. Does anybody have any experience with their water breaking without them knowing? Can this happen or did the doctors just tell me this to send me directly to the hospital to have my baby? I’m just curious since after having my baby via C-section again they told me that my placenta was detaching, hence the spotting. I figure maybe they didn’t want to scare me by telling me that they thought something was wrong so instead they said my water had broken. Idk. Stories anybody?? Or thoughts 💭
