Bad pap results and I’m pregnant... have you had a colposcopy?
I went to get my pap (which usually come back healthy) and five days later I found out I am pregnant with our second. Then a week later the midwife nurse called me to discuss results of my pap. She told me I have low grade cell changes in my cervix (which aren’t necessarily precancerous) but they scheduled me for a colposcopy to get a better sample of the cells and that if needed they’ll do a biopsy... I told her I just found out I am pregnant (and started to cry) and wanted to keep our baby. She says that cervical cancer is slow moving and the first step is the colposcopy. I am scared that I will have to terminate our pregnancy... has anyone had experience with this? Having low grade cell changes and being pregnant? Also what was your colposcopy like? What was your cervical biopsy like? Any words will be helpful. I have my colposcopy scheduled in month and my first prenatal visit on in the second week of April.
