The end has finally come…

Mo

On September 12 of 2022 I took my son into Nationwide Childrens ER for neurological issues. That day my son was diagnosed with a brain mass and needed emergency surgery to correct his severe hydrocephalus and to remove the tumor. In October we started a very long and hard chemotherapy journey for a highly aggressive and malignant brain tumor (grade 4 Embryonal Neoplasm not otherwise specified). He’s completed 5 cycles (3 induction and 2 autologous stem cell transplants) and upon being admitted for the 6th and final cycle he was found to have a very infectious bacterial infection that has threatened his life. Because of this infection all access lines had to be removed and his team and I decided not to move forward with his last cycle. All this to say my boy is recovering from the infection and is now considered in REMISSION!! NO MORE CHEMO!! I’ll forever pray that this never returns and it’s a scary possibility for us. But I couldn’t any more proud of this boy and his journey and I just had to share. Enjoy the cuteness and wish Luca a speedy recovery if you would 💛🎗️🥰
