This may be TMI, but after birth does it hurt lhell when you have to have a bowel movement? Like literally right before you go?

Whenever I feel like I need to use the restroom, I start to get this awful pain. It feels like the worst contractions but once I use the restroom, there’s immediate relief and completely goes away until the next time I need to have a bowel movement. Does anyone else experience this?

No… and in both of my experiences they were like “you have to take this stool softener” i was like no? Im not. And I never did. Pooped just fine.

I had this issue after having my second baby, I was on a stool softener , but I was super backed up.. probably from the fear of pooping. It would be like 4 days before I would go & I would have cramps from hell before each time too. But it was definitely because I was constipated.

How far postpartum are you? I had this for like a year afterwards but not all the time. Started happening again while I was in the early stages of second pregnancy and I wonder if something isn’t right inside since my first son and gets worse if things are swollen in there. Like maybe when you’re due on or something?
