Confused by OPK

First time TTC

First time using opk to determine if I ovulate regularly ( 10-14 day window)

Understanding my cycle is typically ~25 days

Initially, test lines were so faint, and control line was instantaneous upon testing. Tossed these tests and chalked it up to negatives.

Following, began seeing tests where test line seemed to be as dark / darker?? Than control line.

Thought this would’ve been a positive, began testing twice a day with the understanding of limiting fluid intake prior to test as well as focusing on evening urines.

My control line began to become so faint, test line is so dark.

Was this a surge? Or am I misreading and misunderstanding the entire assignment?
