Itchy during ovulation?

I’m pretty sure I’m ovulating (I’m not ttc so just an estimate) because today I’ve been having mega eggwhite stretchy discharge literally all day, a bit yesterday too. Only thing that’s weird is, today my vulva has felt a bit sore/irritated. Nothing crazy but I can just feel something is there, I feel unsettled. I’ve been using Vagisil cream which has helped, but I’m unsure whether this is a yeast infection? The discharge is the opposite of cottage cheese, and when I’ve had yeast infections in the past they’ve felt much worse. Is this normal at all during ovulation, or could it be an infection?
