I have parasites and don’t know what to do.
I’ll get right to it, I have either tape worm, or hook worm. My symptoms started in September of last year so I’ve had them for around 7 months, I’ve seen living, moving worms in my stool for weeks now. And the past 3 months I’ve been so exhausted and tired where I’m in bed most of the day, I don’t work right now because of how tired and weak I feel. I went to the doctor and with my symptoms and with me seeing worms in my stool she gave me one dose of Abendezol (I think I spelled that right lol), but it’s for tape/hookworm. I got a stool sample too, I brought it in on the 27th of March, about 10 days ago and I just now got the results saying I DONT have worms?? When I was getting the sample I saw MOVING worms in it, my husband even came in and saw them so I’m obviously not going crazy.
After the one dose she gave me I felt better for about 3 days until I started getting symptoms again; swollen stomach, starving but full at the same time, more black spots in my vison, exhaustion, itchiness, constipation, but also diarrhea?? And just overall fatigue. Since taking that medication I’ve started coughing up Alot of thick white mucus too, and my stomach has felt significantly worse (so full and swollen feeling where I literally can’t sleep, but I also feel STARVING at the same time if that makes any sense?)
At this point I have no idea what to do, I’ve had parasites for 7 months and I have no clue what to do. I have no idea how that test could’ve came back negative, and why it took nearly 2 weeks to get finished. My results aren’t even available online for me to see.
My husband and a few of my friends that I’ve told are telling me to go to the hospital since they’ll treat me, but I googled if I should go, because obviously it isn’t an emergency situation and most of what people said online who were in a similar situation was the doctors didn’t believe them and they sent them home.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I feel absolutely awful 24/7 and very uncomfortable. I’m so stressed out about this.
*also I got the worms from my cat, I didn’t know he had them until a few weeks ago and he’s fully treated for them now!
