How long in newborn diapers?

Question

If your baby was born around 7lbs how long was he/she in newborn diapers? I’m assuming my boy will be born around 7ish lbs cause my first two were but my youngest is 5 so i really can’t remember how long they were in newborn diapers before moving to size 1

It's an estimated guess and can be wrong. Depends on the weight and how quickly baby grows. From my own experience it also depends on body type. My first stayed in her diapers longer than my second. My second is wider and a bit rounder than my first. So she moves a diaper size up before the weight limit often.

I would skip newborn size and just get size 1

My kids were 6.15 and 8.3 both were in newborn about a month. Maybe a little longer with my first.

My 7lber wore newborn for almost two months then wore size ones for like two weeks and hit a growth spurt and wore size 2 for two ish weeks then jumped to size 3. She is 19lb at 4 months wearing size 3. 
My kiddo that was born 5lb9oz wore preemie for a month then newborn size for 3 months size ones for 3 months then 2 for 6 months and now in size 3 for 6 months already… (he has a tiny booty compared to other kids his age 🤷🏻‍♀️).

My sim was 7.13 dropped to 7.5 he was in newborn for 3/4 weeks! They fit way better than size 1 in the beginning so i would have a pack on hand to be safe

My daughter was 7lbs 12oz and 19.5 inches long and she was in newborn diapers for about a month, maybe a little longer. She was in newborn clothes for about the same amount of time.

If I had to guess maybe a month? I wouldn’t buy too many but definitely have some. 
My first was 6lbs 1oz and he was in newborn for 2 months or more

The hospital uses size 1 so that’s what we bought. We have a few newborn but not a ton.
