Am I wrong?
For the past 6 months my husband and I have been trying to conceive. We were informed early last week that he would be laid off for a month at least. The last Friday he had an issue with his eye he thought something was in it and when I helped him flush it I couldn’t find anything so I told him he probably scratched his cornea and to rest with his eyes closed for the day because eyes heal incredibly quick. I told him to rest and I headed to work. (I work in a mill and I have minimal chances to get training for the position I am going for. I have 80 days left to prove the position is needed in my mill.) He calls me freaking out about his eye again and I tried offering to call someone to get him to the doctor. He declined every option I offered and told me he didn’t realize my work was more important than him in an emergency. I told him it normally wouldn’t be but I had 2important meeting to go to regarding my new position. He then started to tell me how we need to rethink having kids if this is how I was going to react to an emergency. I ended up leaving work, missing both of my meeting just to take him to the doctor and have them tell him he had a scratch on his cornea and to rest his eye it’ll heal in a day.
Side note: He wasn’t aware I had started my period that day so for all he knew I could have been pregnant.
Was I wrong for not initially leaving work to take him to the doctor?
