Clothing size for new born?

Hi
I wanted to know what size clothing to choose for a newborn? Size Newborn or Size 0-3 months?
(Just a bit confused with newborn and and 0-3 months as like they pretty much same no? I am guessing the 0-3months can go onto 3 months old baby and newborn just until newborn😵‍💫)

It's common for newborns to wear size Newborn for the first few weeks of life, but they can also fit into size 0-3 months. It really depends on the baby's weight and height at birth. If your baby is on the smaller side, you may want to go with size Newborn. If your baby is on the larger side, you may want to go with size 0-3 months. It's always a good idea to have a mix of both sizes on hand, just in case.

With all 3 of my kids so far, at almost 8lbs each, newboen clothes were too big for them. 0-3 months is bigger than newborn size. I never bought premie and they did grow quickly out of newborn within a few weeks but unless your baby is 10lbs.... newborn is the size you should go.unless yoh have a premie which i hope you dont.

My 1st son needed the 0-3 month clothing right out of the hospital he was 8lbs 2oz and 21in long so they were a little bit big but with the diaper on they fit just fine. Not sure about my 2nd child as its not due until October but its best to bring both just in case

I recommend getting 0-3 months but have a few premie outfits in case. My first came out 6.4 LBs and we had to scramble to find premie clothes cause we weren’t prepared. Then she went into newborn clothes after a couple weeks and then she was in 0-3 months at about a month or 2 and in those for quite awhile… 
Depends on the baby too. It’s all mainly determined by weight.

Newborn is the same across companies. Some companies use 0-3 months as the next size and others do 3 months but they are the same. Took me a while to figure this out my first pregnancy 🤦🏼‍♀️.
I would recommend bringing a newborn and a 0-3 month (or 3 month).  It’s not likely you’ll need size 3-6 month (or 6 month) but still possible.

Depends on the size if baby and the type of clothing. Bamboo brands tend to fit at preemie for most baby’s for a couple weeks. I would have never bought preemie for my first but after becoming familiar with different varieties of clothing I will be this time.

I plan to bring newborn, 0-3 and 3-6 months. My bf children with a previous partner came home in 3-6. His kids were big, he and his sister were big babies. I was a little baby. This is my first baby.

I always pack a newborn and a 0-3 outfit for coming home. It's hard to tell which baby will wear until they're here. One was 6 lbs 4 oz and the other was 6 lbs 14 oz. Both wore newborn for a bit. Hard to say how big this baby will be so we'll stick with tradition and take a newborn and a 0-3 with us.

It really just depends on how big your baby is. My son was born 2 weeks late but he was only 6lbs 10oz. Everyone told me not to bother buying newborn but I’m so glad I did because he didn’t fit into 0-3 months until he was almost 3 months old😅
