Sudden vertigo?

I just woke up this morning (the day my period is due) with no period so far but the second I lifted my head the whole room started to spin and I wanted to puke. After that random spell I’ve been nauseous and dizzy all day.. I’ve never had vertigo before. Me and husband are ttc so I’m curious if it’s from my period about to start or if I may have actually gotten pregnant? If not what would cause it so suddenly? I never felt that way before so I’m a bit alarmed.
