How often does your toddler accidentally injure you? I feel like this happens so frequently to me, and she’s not being bad or trying to hurt me, she just keeps hurting me pretty badly. In the last two weeks she has given me a black eye (tried to give me a hug but had a bucket in her hand and hit me with it), chipped my kneecap (knocked me over when she was on her balance bike), and sprained my wrist (grabbed onto me when I was getting up from the floor and threw me off balance). We always talk about being mindful of what she’s doing, I try to watch her really closely, and honestly we narrowly avoid lots of injuries, but it seems like we’re so accident prone. I had to go to the doctor for my knee and wrist and they honestly questioned me about domestic abuse and I was like…a 2yo is the one doing this to me 😳

ETA My balance is fine when I’m not being run into 😂 With the bike, she very suddenly turned the handlebars and plowed into the back of my leg, knocking me forward. And the other time, I was sitting next to her on the floor, started the stand up, and she grabbed onto my sleeve to stand up as well and ended up pulling me down, and my wrist took the brunt of the impact.
