3.5 year old speech delay- sad mama

So my daughter is 3.5 and has a receptive speech delay. She has done early intervention from age 2 to 3, and now started outpatient speech a few weeks ago. She CAN talk and express her wants/ needs. She’s now beginning to put 2-3 words together and can name/ label pretty much everything. Her problem lies with questions, and understanding 2-3 part directions.

She’s been home with me all her life. I work from home, and I’ve been nervous to put her in daycare due to the way the world has been. I take her to the park and pool and I’m putting her in a sport for socialization.

Today I took her to the pool. We were in the kiddie pool where my daughter was the only one swimming. A group of kids joined and my daughter is very noticeably excited to be around other kids. A particular little girl (maybe 4) starts yelling at my daughter to “Talk”. And my daughter just looked around like she didn’t know what to do. My heart hurts for her, all she wants is to be included 🥲 I feel like a failure. I dont ever want kids to exclude her from playing because she doesn’t understand them 😭
