Got pregnant day before my period

Just wanted to let you all know it’s possible to get pregnant one day before your period!’ Doctor said I could have ovulated twice bc LH was confirmed on day of normal ovulation, and my period started exactly when it as supposed to based on that. I had sex ONLY one other time exactly one day before menstruation, and the scan shows THAT is the correct dating for conception of the pregnancy!! It’s rare but I see women asking if it can happen, and I’m here just to say it can!!! My doctor said in up to 10% of women studies in one study they actually ovulated twice in a cycle. So there ya go!

Edit:

Here is the explanation for y’all. So first off I ovulated normally and had a normal uterine lining shedding (period) as a result. However, I had a second ovulation but it didn’t happen until the day before my period started, so the uterine lining shedding was already in progress, hence how I had the period. I was NOT pregnant before getting my period. I had only ovulated. The egg from the second ovulation wasn’t even in the uterus yet, it was only just meeting the sperm when my period started, so there was no signaling to my uterus to not shed the lining. During that period, this embryo traveled to the uterus and implanted. Y’all are right - It’s impossible to get a period once you are already pregnant (once an embryo has implanted in the uterus), but not impossible to get a period if “pregnancy” hasn’t happened yet like in my case! second ovulation can happen in 10% of cycles according to data. If it happens that close to your period, then you are NOT pregnant yet when the period comes, you have only released an egg, which is how you can still have a period. So THAT is how a period can actually happen and you can still get pregnant from sex right before the bleeding starts! However, if second ovulation occurs in time for you to conceive and implant an embryo (pregnancy) then it would not be possible to have a period/shed uterine lining, bc the body would send hormonal signals to the uterus indicating a pregnancy and menstrual bleeding could not then occur.

This is obviously unusual since double ovualtion is not common and second ovulation the day before menstruation that eventually leads to a successful embryo implantation is even less common, but I wanted to share bc it’s pretty cool!
