Do back to back babies cause back labour pains?

With both my children I had back pains towards the end and in labour.
Third baby here I'm 38 weeks and I havent experienced any back pains this time! I'm wondering if it's because baby isn't back to back!

Yes, when a baby’s back is facing your back, it causes back labor. My first baby was anterior for a LONG time during labor and I had horrible back labor. My second wasn’t anterior at all and I had no back labor. 
The reason I know this is because when you’re in labor, your contractions are supposed to slowly turn the baby clockwise to be face down when they exit the birth canal.  If your baby starts out with their back facing the left side of your belly, they don’t have a whole lot of rotation to do. However, when their back is facing the right side, they have to do a huge rotation to come out face down if they follow the clockwise rotation. 
My midwife taught me about this when I was pregnant with my second baby. It made perfect sense because my first baby LOVED to hang out on my right side. I even have a picture of me in the midst of labor where you can see the shape of his body during a contraction and he’s on my right side. His labor was very long and I had excruciating back labor. But with my second pregnancy I encouraged my baby to lay on the left side as much as I possibly could and by the time I went into labor, I knew he was on my left side and I had a much shorter labor with no back labor. (Second babies do tend to come a lot quicker anyway usually but again I had no back labor the second time)

For me back labor is because of the placenta/baby’s position. Both of mine have been anterior placenta & back pain. Pregnancies have been 4 years apart though.
