First I wanna be clear I don’t want him back this isn’t out of spite or me trying to make her mad by telling her so he chooses me over her. Nothing like that.

I found out he lied about being married. Turns out his “divorce” is actually a half assed separation where not only is she very pregnant with his baby but he’s only been out of the house for 3 months and as far as she knows they had a fight, he needed space, but he talks like he’s getting back with her, staying with his family just needs some more “time to process everything”.

I saw the messages. The woman believes he’s coming back - and he’s suggested that they can be a family again etc (definitely stringing her along).

I feel bad now. I’ve been sleeping with this man for just under 5 months now. He doesn’t live with me but I thought we were officially dating  - I’ve even met his mother and siblings and had dinners with them - no one told me nothing about his pregnant wife. He’s been living with his sister because “he’s getting his footing again after his last relationship failed”.

I feel like she deserves to know. But I’m not trying to start a fight. FYI he has no intention of telling her - he’s currently trying to convince me that he loves me and is leaving her. I don’t buy it of course.

She needs to know so she can prepare to be on her own with this baby and find someone who actually gives a shit about them both. I would tell her but be seriously gentle because she is pregnant & none of this is either of your faults. Just tell her you’ve been seeing each other & we’re under the impression it was a real relationship. Let her know that you thought they were getting divorced & happened to see their messages & wanted her to know what was going on since he is/was stringing her along. Definitely end the relationship, but also do not give her any extra intimate details. She doesn’t need to know if he’s told you he loves you or anything like that. She doesn’t need to know you met his family. I’d answer any questions she has because he obviously isn’t going to tell her the truth… & as much as it sucks, I’d let her know if you had unprotected sex & you both should get tested because if he’s lying to both of you about this stuff, I’d be willing to bet he’s seeing other women. Again, be gentle with her feelings. You don’t need to rub it in or anything & if she wants to shoot the messenger, just leave her alone to process how she needs to because you did the right thing telling her the truth.
