I just remember being extremely tired and thinking my family would be better without me. But I also didn’t want my kids growing up without a mom. So that was a weird feeling going back and forth. Lots of crying and calling my mom. Listening to my baby cry next to me and feeling completely numb. It’s all normal. 
My mom gave me the advice that helped the most. Do the things you don’t want to do. It really does make you feel better just to get up and do something. At least it did for me. I fed my kiddo, got up and took a shower, and went for a walk. Getting up and doing something makes you feel like you accomplished something, and that feels huge when your depressed. And it never hurts to ask for help. Telling someone how you are feeling and getting support is so helpful.
